This free download includes three elements of the evidence-based CANDIS program. 

  • The Facilitator Introduction includes endorsements from professionals who have used the program, session overviews, best practices, and the program scope and sequence.
  • Session 1: Introduction to the CANDIS Program guides facilitators through the process of educating clients on marijuana use and cannabis use disorders to increase participants’ motivation to change.
  • The Marijuana Use Diary Tool supplements the first lesson and is used to assess the severity of cannabis use disorder in participants. 

CANDIS is an evidence-based, abstinence-oriented program that uses motivational enhancement therapy (MET), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and contingency management to treat cannabis use disorder in clients.
